📌Ingredients

(Makes 9 Onion Rings):
-2 large white onions
-3 slices mozzarella cheese, cut into strips
-2 cups all-purpose flour
-5 large eggs, beaten
-2 cups breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-style)
-Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
-Marinara sauce, for dipping

✅Instructions:

1.Prepare the Onions & Cheese:
Peel and slice the onions into ½-inch thick rings.
Separate them into pairs (one larger ring, one smaller ring).
Cut the mozzarella into 4 even strips per slice.

2.Assemble the Rings:
Place a smaller onion ring inside a larger one.
Fill the gap with mozzarella strips (use two layers for extra cheesiness!).
Repeat for all onion rings, then freeze for 1 hour to help them hold their shape.

3.Coat the Rings:
Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
Coat each onion ring in flour, then dip into the egg, then into breadcrumbs.
Repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating for an extra crispy texture.
Freeze the coated rings while heating the oil.

4.Fry the Onion Rings:
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry each ring until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per side).
Drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

5.Serve & Enjoy:
Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
